Important
- This release no longer supports Windows 8.1
- If you use automated backup and have changed the save location from the default in Documents/MAK95 Resources, you will need to set up the location of the new Resources folder, in Account Settings
What’s New
- MAK95 Resources folder
- In Account Settings, it is now possible to change the location of the MAK95 Resources folder to somewhere such as a Dropbox folder, so that all the files there (backups, model answers, my resources, mock papers) are automatically backed up to the cloud
- This supersedes any previously set backup folder location
- Cryptic Clues
- This is another way to test your knowledge, accessed from the Study Notes section
- If you can get most of them, I think it indicates you are likely well prepared – a dubious, unvalidated claim!
- If you can’t get them, it doesn’t mean much – these clues are obviously skewed towards my own way of thinking, it just means you don’t think like me, or don’t use the same textbooks
- Question Supplements
- I have included a handful of examples of the way that I interpret SAQs, including what I think the examiners are looking for, which then informs what I think the question is actually asking, which then informs my answer structure
- It’s ok if you disagree with me and interpret the question slightly differently – good answers can be quite different
- The point of the exercise is to encourage people to critically analyse and decide for themselves what they think the question is asking, rather than rote learning someone else’s model answer
- This is advantageous particularly since there is an increasing trend to re-word old questions
- Reordering of My Resources
- You can now drag and reorder the file list in My Resources, to keep the list more organised
Bug Fixes
- In the Paper Statistics graph, comments did not display properly if they were too long – the Examiners Reports are including much more info than when I first designed this!
- Added error handling for an issue that occurred to one user where the Written Exam Date was saved in an invalid format
